Business Owners Policy (BOP)
Put into simple terms, the BOP is a home-owners policy for a business. It is a policy that “bundles” commercial package and general liability into one package. A business uses a BOP for coverage typically when it has annual gross sales of not more than $3-$5 Million.
- Some types of businesses that use a BOP are:
- Barber and Beauty Shops
- Dental Labs
- Laundry and Dry Cleaning Stores
- Fast Food/Diners
- Funeral Homes
- Gas Stations/Convenience
- Jewelry Repair
- Mailing or Addressing
- Pizza shops
- Shoe repair
- Television and appliance installation and service
